might have. If needed, you will be allocated a convenient time and
place for your initial consult. You will also receive our
introductory Sleep Health Pack, which contains a variety of
helpful sleep information brochures, as well as a General
Practitioner Referral Form which must be signed by your General
Practitioner in order for you to be seen by us.
At your initial consultation, you will be seen by one of our
expert sleep specialists. If a sleep disorder is suspected, you
may be required to undergo a sleep
study at a one of our
conveniently located sleep centres. The sleep study is the
most common and effective tool used in the diagnosis of sleep
disorders. It involves the painless, non-invasive monitoring and
recording of various biological signals, including your heart,
brain, muscle activity, eye and limb movements, whilst you sleep.
Once a diagnosis is made, your sleep specialist will discuss the
various treatment options available to you. These may include
habit modification, medication, the use of a medical device, or
surgery.
